I have just spend all day dyno matting my front doors and fitting some fg front speaker, tweeter and cross-overs, to then find out that I can get them to work!!!!!

I have a VDO head unit that gives me the choice to run the sub at 40htz or 80htz, I only have one phono out put of the head unit (to my surprise) so I have split them with Y pieces at the amp end. Is the reason the fronts are only giving me bass because the head unit is only sending 40/80htz signals to the amp?
The amp has been modded in the past so it could run two subs, i.e. the front channels could be bridged to power the second sub. I now only can run the front 2 channel bridged for a sub, and the rear channels (of which there are still two channels) are running the fronts but only with bass and the tweeters don’t work. Any one know why? Do I need a new head unit that can have two pre outs or a new amp? HELP please!

Yep ............ sounds like the line out is bass only
Run the fronts off the head unit or use high level inputs to another amp to run the fronts

Check the amp doesn't have the low pass filter switched on (if it has this option?!).

sorted it now, me just being stupid, i have 4 pre-out and a sub channel, I was running it all off the sub channel, hence only bass. I have ordered the part i need (4 pre-out lead thingy) because i lost the ones that came with it.
