single boost question

as some may know i have been doing a single conversion and well this weekend was time to start the motor after destroying my hybrids, any who when reving the car i can here the turbo in the exhaust and have seen it spining gotta love the dbb spins for about 20 secs after turning the engine off from idle

back to the point it doesnt activate the bov when i rev the engine, but i remember the stock setup does, so i took the intake pipe off and even then it dont seem to blow much air out until higher revs.

is that normal?

or have i messed up some of the stock vac delete,

i thought i better get some peoples views before a road test later this week.

What BOV is it? some open quickly, some dont.

its a adjustable apexi which was set nice and tight so i did still get some compressor stall with a light throttle lift off. but still i thought it would of flowed more air then it did i wouldnt know though i havent even been in a sigle turbo supra YET

also even when i had that bov on old set up it still would vent when reving? but i guess thats because of 6 cylinders powering one small turbo

surely you'd have to be under load to build boost, so you'd either have to drive the car or rev it reasonably hard to built enough boost?

I wouldn't be surprised if your BOV doesn't open when reving the engine when the car is stationary. Also, that's not a very good idea.

thanks for the confirmation i did just look at a couple of single vids on the tube and there bov's dont vent as well thank good for that though there might have been more trouble ahead

You'll break your car if you sit still and rev the engine. It isn't built to do that. It's built to travel along and rev.

i get what your saying, its not like i was trying to launch it from the drag strip, just a quich rev to see what the bad boy sounded like.
