I have been researching the coolant bypass mod (on the throttle body)

Has anyone had any problems once done? i will only be using the car in summer and as the engine is getting swapped i thought it might be a good idea to do it whilst its out.

I know im N/A but if its a free mod and it helps ever so slightly then im in.

*awaits m_lifes reply :D*

I did it on my old NA, not convinced it made any difference, but in theory I guess cooler the better in terms of intake. However, I ran my bypass over the top of the housing and it did make it harder to eliminate airlocks in the coolant system, as that then becomes the highest point in the system.

The idea behind it is to stop the throttle body sticking open in sub zero temperatures. Some people have the theory that it reduces intake temperatures by not pumping hot water around the throttle body. I've removed it on my V8, cant say whether it makes a difference or not, but it does look neater.
