new and need help building

well hello all how are u guys today am paul am new and i will be here for the long run with you guys.......well i did it decided to buy a 1996 2jz 6speed supra non turbo..now i need help...am playing to build this supra to about 500hp i need help from u guys please i never built cars before i decided to build one so any help would be relly nice...i just wanted to know what are the parts i would need...for the engine to handle this power and maybe more if i decided to too...where i can get a full single turbo kit who makes them for the supra...am playing to take engine out this week and sending it out to get cleaned ported polished and all that so i would like to know what should i get cams,vavls,pistons,ect ect...any help please...also trans what would i need to do there am asking from anyone that has some time to give me a list of what i would need to help me get started like i said engine will be taking apart and i would like to do all mods to engine while it is open and getting cleaned and all that....please again any help if u guys can..

Welcome mate,

 

I would scrap the idea of getting the head ported/polished. Waste of time and money... Whifbitz do an NA/T kit which will convert your none turbo engine. It's ALOT of money to do correctly though... 500 bhp is a big number to aim for.

 

Turbo kit (whifbitz)

Cooling

Engine management

Clutch

Dials

 

These will add up to serious money, then add labour on aswell. At least you have the stronger Getrag 6 speed box so that will take 1000 bhp all day long.
