Applying Alcantara to dash panels

Looks like they sell some crud on ebay,

There are 3 main versions of current stock.

* No backing which will stretch known as trimming grade. alcantara call it "panel"

* then there is a version with a white cloth backing this is for seats so a upholstery grade. alcantara call it "cover"

* then there is a foam backed this is again a trimming grade but is meant for panel work.

Don't do it please John! Leather with white stitching would look so classy on your beauty!

 

If you gotta do it, then try doing something like this to break it up

That looks horrendous IMO. I'm not doing the whole dash just the panels as Wayne has done in the Previous post to yours.

Ah! I thought you were going to doing to do the whole dash, hence I said break it up a little.

 

That is the dash off a Mercedes CLS, so maybe not the best explain.
