Possibly not technical, but probably best here...

Evening all,

I am having a minor issue that the new rig cannot go over those car park bumps without having a bit of a scratch. I am going to take a look tonight to make sure it hasn't caused any damage. They are those ones where you can go over them, but cannot come back the other way. Worried its hitting some important, but didnt have a chance to look earlier.

Anyone else experienced this? Its the work car park, so its not like I can avoid it (might start going in the out as that for some reason doesn't have them!).

Are They the kind that fold into the ground when you go over them? I wouldn't worry too much. They usualy fold down quite easy. So don't push back with much force on the under side of the car.

I've clanged various different exhausts or whatever on different supras over the years, sometimes quite hard. Never did any damage.

Thanks for the comments chaps. Yeah, it is the type where they fold down into the ground and then come back up. It just sounds horrible. I am going to try and find a way around it, but for the time being I will have to just deal wit hit. Its just the noise it makes the moment the front wheels come off the "pads" and it has this metal scrapping sound, its horrid!

Sounds like when the metal flaps are popping up they are scraping along the bottom of the exhaust/skirt. As mentioned, although it won't cause much damage it is an awful noise & could cause wear to the car. Get someone to look underneath whilst you go over it & then find a different route! :D

Its the wear that bothers me, but I have managed to find a route that has minimal contact, just a mild tap as I go over. Still, hate the sound of it!
