Havard Posted September 12, 2011 Share Posted September 12, 2011 On what is not the best of days (Thread later), I had time to see if I could get the car in for an MOT. Rang my local, friendly MOT station and the car went straight through with no advisories. The emissions test was borderline even with both cats in, why could that be? My MOT tested said that the car could probably just do with a service or a good blast up the motorway but it only went to JAE this weekend. I am now thinking of having the oil, filter and plugs changed but will this make much of a difference or could the cats be shafted? H. The first Cat id assume would be fine as my 17 year old one was. It would pass an MOT with just one in the future anyway. I have a Apexi S-AFC so would turning the fuel down for the day lower the emissions? I'm clutching at straw's a bit tbh, it's double decat BPU but every little may help!
