GT3037 to GTX3076R

After the good results on the dyno, am looking at upgrading the turbos (...and fuel system, clutch, etc).

At the moment, I've got GT3037's on there, which is basically an externally gated T25 frame version of a GT3076R. Now, what I want to do is upgrade to the billet version - the GTX3076R.

Can the current turbo be upgraded to the GTX? Or possibly get the GTX in a T25 housing? Any info/advice/tips welcome :)

The GTX (3071 or 3076) will fit in your existing HKS T2 turbine housing(s) as the HKS housings are really a T3 design with a T2 flange footprint.

They all have the 60mm turbine wheel.

Only someone like Owen Developement could possibly retrofit the compressor wheel and housing to your existing ball bearing turbos but your probably no better off money wise.

Garrett sell the GTX series turbo's without the rear housing so perfect for what you want to do.

That's what I thought, the turbine housing might need a small machine to fit, though? I'm in contact with Lee @ Owen Developments about this now, to see what's what.

Hey J,

Give Turbo Dynamics down here a call - 01202 487497 and I bet they'll be able to tell you in 2 minutes. They'll also be able to carry out the work for you and they're top notch guys and one of the rare genuine Garrett authorised sellers.

I will bear them in mind mate. I'm just with Owen Developments at the moment - as I know Lee. But, thanks for the tip :)
