This is something I've had since going de-cat, when lifting off at WOT there is aloud "POP" sound from the exhaust. From some previous posts here I originally thought this was detonation so upgraded to a Walbro fuel pump.

After the upgrade, it doesn’t do this so often, but when it does the sound is even louder than before. It tends to happen when the engine is cooler than normal or has been sat if traffic for a while…

Any ideas what could cause this?

PS: I have a CW restrictor ring in, though the boost gauge has never registered above 1.05 bar

Mine does it sometimes, nothing to worry about.

Mine does it all the time, and I have been told by a few, that it occassionally spits little blue flames. So I think I should get the fueling sorted at some point,

Thanks for the replies :thumbs: Very relieved to hear this is normal, was a bit worried about it!

Flames = cool :D

Seriously though, how is it possible to get flames from the exhaust? Would you need big injectors and safc or is it simpler than that?
