Hose from fuel tank to charcoal canister on NA to 1JZ swap

I've searched 11 entire pages of past threads on this subject and I'm still none the bloody wiser.

I'm sorry to add to this lads but can I get a little bit of guidance on this.

Half the threads I read said to connect the vapour line from the tank directly to the drain line which runs from the wheel arch to underneath the engine. No vacuum or pressure in the tank

Nearly half said to block this pipe off completely. Pressure in the tank which supposedly might be an advantage. But is there not a vent in the filler cap anyway.

And a couple actually suggested running a line from this pipe to the intake before the turbos. Vacuum in the tank under acceleration.

So which is it?

If it makes a difference the NA canister only has 2 pipes coming out of the top and a single on the bottom, a TT canister has 3 outlets on the top and a single on the bottom.

Take your pick from the 2 trains of thought basically. You can either block it off and allow the tank to build pressure to 2psi (where the cap opens). Or you can vent it to atmosphere, either by connecting to the vent that's there or taking it all away and making your own.

I'm going with the latter

Any particular reason you chose the latter over the former Scott?

I'd be more inclined to block it off, my reason being in the event of the car rolling at the track there would be less potential for a fuel fed fire.

Unless there is a device within the tank that blocks this line in the event of a roll anyway?

It breathes to atmosphere as stock, so thats my reasoning really lol.

Sod it so, if it wants to exhale it can do it through the cap!
