I have a UK tt engine. It has an aem tru boost gauge and afr gauge. Decat pipe is fitted with blitz air filter. Also hi spec fuel pump and map ecu programmed to bpu. When I flaw the car and second turbo comes on car jalts and the boost gauge then flashes red. The gauge won't let me scroll through the program to change values. Any ideas?

You need a boost controller to alter the boost level but that will only up the boost. Do you have a FCD ? I was led to believe the reason J Specs over boost when you decat them is because the wastegate is too small but the UK's don't have this problem because it has a different waste gate. What does the boost spike at ?

They overboost because youve removed a great big restriction in the form of the cat. Thats why you fit a restrictor ring.

Not needed if it really is a UK engine.

Could be you're hitting fuel cut, and there's an issue with the FCD, or it simply doesn't have one fitted. Could also be plugs not cold enough and it's miss-firing when it's hitting higher boost.

The map ecu should take care of fuel cut. I can't go through the menu in program mode of the boost controller so wondering if anyone can help as to why. It starts with prgm which it should but won't let me go any further to change alarm settings etc
