Fort myte be a good idea to get ideas off every 1 as the best way to spend the money would like to go single but I would like a heads up on tried an proven parts and supliers if possible would quite like to reach around 700bhp mark I have other funds available but would rather spend this first installment and have some money spare for some other bits I have going on at present

Any input would be appreciated

Ambitious.

1. Whifbitz turbo kit ~ £4000

2. SRD Stage 2 cams ~ £550

3. 3" Minimum FMIC ~ £500

4. Bosch 044 Fuel Pump ~ £135

5. Decent Clutch - £500

6. ECU ~ £1500-£2500 depending on choices.

That's way over your budget now, and you've not got the various bits and pieces like heatwrap, fluids, injectors, fuel rails, fuel lines, exhausts, etc etc.

I'd lower your expectations or up your budget. Go staged, to BPU, then to BPU+ and then to single. Take in the information here, there's lots of it.

My 2p worth would be to suggest the following :

BPU - full Inc boost controller and fmic £1072 if you plan more power maybe need to consider a more expensive fmic than the one in this kit

Big brakes circa £2000 for front and rear

18" wheels and Tyres £2000? To clear the big brakes

Suspension £650 ish

All plus fitting

Also might need to get valve stem seals done as it is reported they often fail and start leaking when you go BPU. Means you can get smoke on start up.

All prices from Whifbitz and on their website.

Give Paul a call, I'm sure he will sort you out!

Cheers and good luck. Keep us posted on the updates. We also like lots of pictures!

Cant tell if it is a Jspec or UK TT6. I would spend the money on decent brakes, discs, coilovers, BPU and see if you can stretch to having the interior recovered with any change.

I'd love to go single but I am not going to touch it until I have a decent chunk more money than is required for any suprises.

If you're sure you want that sort of power, then it'd be a good idea to get the car over to a specialist and get it checked over (especially compression/leak down test) then get their opinion on whether it would be worthwhile doing without opening the engine

If you're really looking to do things properly and cover all angles, then you're going to want to do things like: getting the head refurbed (valves, seats, seals), new oil pump, new crank pulley, new cam belt and tensioner, new water pump - obviously these little jobs will hike the cost up, but you'll also get a little extra peace of mind

Engine rebuild to a proper standard, and if there's anything left fit an aftermarket ECU. This assumes your stock turbos are re-usable as is. Then budget for a single conversion and supporting mods. These things are always cheaper, labour wise, done in one hit though, but a half decent single conversion on anything other than a genuine ultra low mileage car is circa £15k minimum, farmed out to competent professionals. £25K is easily spent on something trick or "different". Rule of thumb is whatever you think it may cost, until the engine is opened up, you are safest to have a solid contingency fund :)
