Tein Users - Check Your Shocks

Fitting new brake pads yesterday and while I was generally looking around the wheel arches, I noticed that the alloy spring retainer at the top of my (5-6 year old) Tein Super Streets was heavily corroded.

On closer inspection, all four rings were powdery and had big chunks missing, so at some point, the springs are going to pop up.

Going to be getting a set of rings made up this week, but it was a lucky spot and I wouldn't like to have one go bang while driving.

Lucky you spotted that. I have had mine for two years/ 10k miles and three of the shocks are starting to leak. Never going Tein again, utter crap.

1OK  thats pretty poor

my o/e Toyota shocks did over 100,000 miles before 1 rear failed
