Bailey.
Would you be removing or would you want them to do the whole job. Ie engine out, rebuild, engine back in?

Bailey.
I would do a leak down test and see how healthy the engine is, if its ok then leave it alone, theres plenty of these engine with very high miles that run sweet as a nut. what miles has it done? also what gasket has gone? dude
You need to decide what you want doing ie arp bolts and studs and I would have the rotating assembly balanced, new oil and water pumps as a minimum.
foley
so how much do these things cost then
Dnk
Where did you take the car to get it checked ? I find it hard to believe your engine has these issues and needs to be stripped unless its not done 57,000 miles or its been seriously abused in those miles. I'd take it to one of the traders on here and have it checked over before you start pulling it apart. dude
would you want to keep the motor stock or go for forged pistons and rods ??? TBH unless you are going to go mad and run a big big single and nitrous they are a very nice luxury, to be safe though I would always have the rods checked and resized, pistons is pretty awkward as the stock rings are not cheap but if you go for pistons you need to factor in a rebore. When you said the HG has gone what happened?

Swampy442
Its your money of course, but id get it to Dude at AFR or Lee at SRD and get it properly evaluated, they know Supras inside and out and would be best placed to advise you what to do. But if it is the rings that may tie in with the front crank seal.
