Well just thought I'd share this with you all as I was amazed at the difference it made.

I was on the lookout for a second hand set of lights as mine had gone a horrible yellow colour.

Heard one or two people on different sites mentioning that you can use a metal polish on the headlights to bring them back to their former glory.

Had nothing to lose so decided to give it a shot today.

Went to HalFRAUDS straight after work and picked up a bottle of autoglym metal polish and a few clothes.

Spent approximately 20 mins on each headlight to see if it would make any difference, Decided that If it works then I can do them again over the weekend and spend more time on them.

Forgot to take before photos on the driver side headlight so took lots of the passenger side

A massive improvement

After years of trying to my plastic lights looking their best, doing the outside is only half the job unfortunately, to get longer lasting results they really need to be cleaned on the inside too.

I also spend years using normal off-the-shelf products but recently moved to using professional G3 cutting compound. This gave far better results than things like t-cut, autoglym, etc, but even then they still need re-doing every few months to keep mint.

Here's the thread from a few weeks ago: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?248021

and a little half/half showing t-cut vs G3:
