It's late in the day it's been a crap one doing boring VAT stuff for my business so I thought I would have a rant over something pedantic just ignore this if it's boring.

Some things piss me off apart from speed cameras and speed bumps and now I have to vent some spleen at the non-use of red arrows at traffic lights!

There are green ones, so why not red ones?

How many times am I gonna have to beep the person in front cos they have stopped at a red light - totally oblivious to the fact that underneath is a green arrow signal. Why don't we have red arrow signals for them? I just don't get it. I have travelled a lot (over 30 countries last count) and I think every country has red traffic light arrows where necessary. Except us.

OK rant over glad I got it off me chest. Until the next one. Cheers and thanks for reading.

Lots of things bug me, here's a few off the top of my head:

Brake dust.

Folks posting in mobile phone SMS style text speak.

People who get the arse when I undertake them.

Incorrectly titled files I've downloaded.

Moderators closing threads because they're are 'boring'

Inappropriate 'traffic calming' changes to the road layout

Doctors waiting rooms.

People who talk loudly or laugh loudly in the office.

Stupid 'Send this to everyone you know' emails.

Spam.

People who go on about how much they made on their house.

The amount of adverts on satellite television.

The quality of adverts on commercail radio.

Multiple telesales phone calls every night.

Man Utd supporters, especially the ones that say 'we' when talking about the team.

The price of petrol/road tax.

Five Live not being broadcast on FM

Posts from people that have long or large sigs

The level of tax on petrol.

How about council tax rises. Added to this the fact that the government are looking into linking the council tax to income, surely the tax is already *indirectly* related to income.

VAT

Income tax

NI contributions

Stamp duty

Inheritance tax

Capital gains tax

Tax on booze

Road tax

Tax on car insurance

Tax for going for a fucking shit!

Yes, I think the amount of tax I pay pisses me off big time!

Some good points from all. Here's some from the top of my head:

When an entire lane is coned off for days for work that's about to commence.

When there is road works being done causing major delays and they only seem to be there 2 hours a day 3 days a week.

When you see a holiday advertised, call up as its a good price and they add under occupancy charge, airport tax, meals, fuel surcharge, booking fee, resort charge, transfer fees, and a credit card fee on top.

When you get something done car related or buy something car related and get told a price. You then go to pay and get told that price was without the VAT. We all have to pay it so why not include it in the first place?

Scammers on eBay.

The cost of everything in the UK compared to other countries.
