Elmo
I want to have a go at making an exhaust heat shield for my rear bumper using real carbon fibre & high temp resin. As I have never done this before, I would like to know if I need to take a mould of the area I wish to replicate first, or can I use the bumper as a mould, just cover the area with clingfilm or something prior to applying the carbon fibre. Although, this may be difficult as the bumper is attached to a car, but I could try to get a cheap/free doner bumper to use as a mould. Any advise would be appreciated.
