Oil leak from rocker box, down?

Hello all!

I changed my oil on Saturday, and whilst I had the undertray off I had a good poke around.

The whole bottom of the engine was covered in oil, mostly old oil. But after looking around I've noticed it coming from the front part. I followed the trail all the way up and it finishes at the pulley tensioner area. I've taken the no 1 and 2 covers off to expose the front part as much as possible. I notcied I get a couple of drips of oil if the car is left for a week or so, no more than that. I figured it was the oil coming from the sandwich plate.

I have attached pics, although they don't show too much detail so apologies for that. The oil seems to come down the right side (intake side) only.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Dan

Possibly cam seals, possibly cam covers need re torquing, possibly something else entirely. Needs a good steam clean with plenty of chemical detergent in the stream.

Would it be an idea to change the cam seal? Or will that open a whole can of worms? If re-torqueing, is there a list of settings?
