greaseing brakes

what type of grease are we ment to put on the brake pistons in the calipers ? i am having a bit of a problem with some sticking pistons not on my UKs but on carolines Jspec setup ive got some genral use yellow grease, and copper grease but i know that i dont use that on the pistons as it will wreck the seals

If your pistons are sticking im afraid grease will not help. You need to remove the pistons from the calipers and clean them up as they must be corroded etc. Use some 800 grit wet + dry on them untill they are looking like new. Then refit them and all will work as it used to. Ideally you should change the seals at the same time.

It always annoys me when others make suggestions to help and yet the person in need only thanks one person when members have gone out of their way to reply trying to help. :blink:
