Dnk Posted June 25, 2011 Share Posted June 25, 2011 If i were you i'd do a fluid change, if you use a vaccum bleeder its easy to do and well worth it. Chris Wilson Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 3, 4 and 5.1 are inter mixable and won't so any harm to anything DOT5 however is a silicone fluid and will not mix with other fluids, it goes to jelly. Quite who gave two totally unmixable and different fluids, as important and oft used as BRAKE fluid, a difference in name of .1 I hate to think. Crazy. I bought some DOT4 at some point, which ended up in immidiate brake fade after 3 times on the brake on a track.
