play and noise from dual mass flywheel

so, i made a thread a while back about clunking noises coming from under the car and assumed it was a worn gearbox mount as i knew my selector seal was leaking and destroyed the rubber part of it but when i changed it and replaced the seal it made no difference at all. Pistonbroke suggested to me that it was the flywheel and he was spot on cos i just changed it and no more clunking!

what i noticed about the flywheel i was putting on (bought from Bradley) is that it had around 105mm of twist between the front and rear plate so i was expecting my old flywheel to be a lot more but it was actually the opposite. i could only manage to twist it about 40mm. i'm not sure how the DMF actually works but i would have thought the less play the better (obviously i am wrong).

anyways, thanks to Pistonbroke and Bradley for the knoweledge and supply of parts :)

dont suppose anyone knows if the old flywheel can be rebuilt?
