Light question

Please forgive me if this is a stupid question...

Leading on from my headlight de-lining thread

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?247610-De-linned-lights-first-attempt-)

People said that because i`d painted the small lens then the sidelights wouldn't work...

So i removed the lens and removed the paint... see pics.

But, when trying the sidelights on my car today (as these are a spare set of lights im working on) the sidelights seem to be both the light on the right of the three and that little one as well.... so the question is - if i kept the little lens black (as i think it looks loads better) then wouldn't the sidelights still work from the outer one of the three projector lights and wouldn't this be adequate?

Thanks

Chris

The facelift indicators are split into 2 one part for the indicator the other for the side light, as facelift headlights don't have the side light built into them.

Thanks mate, but just if i didnt do this and left as it was then would it still work adequately as the third projector is the sidelight....

Am i being thick here??? :)
