My local tyre place was £2 dearer per tyre than camskill for Falken FK-452's. That's worth paying so that I don't have to mess about arranging to be in for delivery.

Try your local tyre places too :)

Very good point. A place local to where I used to live was very cheap too. Dig out the Yellow Pages!

avon zz3s simples and super grippy in the wet

Thanks mate, and got decent ratings in the post i just looked at!

Anyone used this company?

Assume this would be the choice...

2* Avon / 275/35 r 18 avon zz3 95w / 275 / 35 / 18 / w = £128.20 each

2* Avon / 235/40 r 18 avon zz3 91y / 235 / 40 / 18 / y = £111.60 each

Total £479.60 and then £11.50 delivery

Seems a really good price....

Thoughts?

Funny you should say that. I'm currently in negotiations with a local Falken main dealer tyre supplier to match Camskill's prices (for the south east, etc.,). They have said yes in principle, but just need to confirm those prices with them. :)

Thats what I thought. I used to have avons on my Fiesta years ago, but they are a budget tyre really and the supra is not a budget tyre car.

I would go for Falken Fk452's. They a mid range tyre with almost a bidget price, good in the wet and the dry except for the last few thousand miles where the wet performance seems to go a bit, but thats ages away on new tyres :)

Toyo T1-R are good, but they are not in production anymore so difficult to get. (as of a couple of weeks ago)

saying that, this review looks ok...

apart from wear.

This site seems to put those avons, fk452's and T1-R tyres all on about par.

I would get these if I could find any stock anywhere!

Judging by the tyre thread on here, people rate the Avon ZZ3's more highly than the Falkens. I'm certainly happy with them, seem very similar to the Falkens which I've had the past few times and rate on a par with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's.

The Avon's are supposed to be quite soft... so only time will tell how long they last me over the Falkens.
