fuel consumption

took my NA supra for a 30 mile drive and it included duel carridgeways, rural roads and town driving

now i drive to the speed limits and i dont drive in a spirited way very often

but it used 3 bars on the fuel guage to get there? surely this isnt right

i know its a 3ltr and everything, but it seems a bit excessive

fella at the garage seems to think a good service and cleaning the lamba sensors will help

anything else i can try or does that much usage seem correct?

When were the oxygen sensors last renewed? They should be changed every 30-50K miles. If the sensors are worn out the ECU will default to a rich mixture which has a significant effect on fuel consumption - and a small but noticeable effect on performance. New sensors are not cheap but they should pay for themselves in fuel savings quite quickly.

A full service will also help get the best out of the car.
