Question: How can I join when I don't own a Supra?

Answer: buy one! :)

That's why I'm here.

I first got the Japanese car bug a few years back when I went to buy an average, sensible car and instead blew double my budget on a 200bhp Honda Prelude with a few mods and in an outlandish colour.

Unfortunately, the Honda didn't like wet roads much and got 'married' to a fence last year. After crawling out the mangled wreckage :stretch: I decided the sensible thing to do would be to go and get something with at least 100bhp more power! Makes total sense.

For that kind of power, I'm looking for a turbo.:yum: I will consider an N/A aero-top if it looks really good (needs to be something special, i.e. unusual colour). It's coming into summer after all (well, the three days of summer we get up in Scotland, lol).

I'll be monitoring the 'for sale' section until I see something I like. I'm also looking on eBay, Pistonheads and AutoTrader - if anyone can suggest anywhere else I could look, please let me know.

Then, once I have a Supra, I can be a proper member. Looking forward to that day.

You don't need to own a supra to become a member, just to love them, oh and pay the fee ;)

If you do get one, you will need to learn some respect for it. No 300hp+ rwd car likes the wet either, some get caught out in the dry too :(

take care

I'll expect to see another supra wrecked very soon then

Welcome, if you decide to thrash a Supra in the wet, please be prepared to get married to a coffin.

The Prelude, depending on which model you had can be quite heavy handed in the wet. With 200bhp at the front wheels and not brilliant tyres or geo they can have pretty nasty understeer in the wet. I have experienced it first hand being a passenger in a car which went across 2 lanes on the motor way, his budget tyres didn't help the matter.

And you don't have to own a Supra to be a member of this club. I sold mine recently, but still staying here. :)
