Engine warning light on, should I panic wildly?

What do you mean by "oddly"? If it's running lumpy it will be your coil pack clips mate. Had it on mine and changed the clips over, never had it since.

Yes quite lumpy, would it show up on a diagnostic as them? Expensive?

Cheers chap, think I'll wait for the launch though rather than struggling :)

Like it's not running on all cylinders? Defo the clips, nah not expensive at all. They were defo under 25 quid when I get them for all 6. If I remember correctly it will be fault code 14.

It feels like it's running normally just "lumpy" are the clips easy to change? Forgot to mention it only runs lumpy when the light comes on

Have you checked the error codes yet Al? If not, that's the first thing to do :)

It's going in for diagnostics on Tuesday, hopefully that should bring something up. I really am not too sure about doing the paperclip bridging test for the error codes

Flip the diagnosic port cover open and the pinouts are printed on a sticker on the inside of the lid. Simples :)

When you open up the lid it shows what is what.

Lol cheers chaps, I haven't ever ventured in there, I will post up some codes tomorrow then. Cheers for the help

Just got seven error codes off it

21 main o2 sensor (old code from engine fitting not cleared yet)

22 water temp

24 Intake air temp

31 Air flow meter circuit

41 Throttle position sensor

42 Speed sensor signal circuit (Its been delimeted

47 Sub throttle poss sensor

Some of these could be uncleared left over codes from engine fitting, Any ideas what to do? Should i reset the ecu with battery disconection and see if any new codes appear?
