All,

Decided to clean my headlights today, ordered some Meguires plastic cleaner and polish, got some 2000grit wet/dry sandpaper and nicked a tube of silicon off my dad!

The drivers headlight was ok as you can see in the pic below, but the passenger one was awful, really yellowed and let the car down loads.

And after a spell in the oven, lots of elbow grease and some swearing its back together and going off over night on the kitchen floor!

Pretty pleased for a £10 and a couple of hours work!

Nice job there, there a sucker to pull apart huh :D

Yeah had more trouble finding the seal and fitting them in the oven!!!

Came apart ok though, and yes i reckon the drivers may need doing now!

Will post pics tomorrow and see!

THOR next for a checkup to make sure all is well and new induction kit.

How long did you leave in the oven and at what Temp?

Don`t want to sound like a Delia but also don`t want to mess them up!

It`s Grand National w/end and thought i`d take advantage with my car off the road a few days.

90c for 6mins. Defo worth doing!

Thanks for info

Mine aren`t that bad but can just see slight yellowing on inside.

Plus i don`t know weather to paint them satin?

My car is also 202 black and don`t know if it would go?

See if anyone has any pics of similar mate :)

I`ve plans for big power eventually so induction has been recommended :)

Unless you are going single the stock airbox is more than capable even with the highest tuned hybrid turbo engines. If you're going single you'll replace the induction kit anyway.

PS: Moved out of tech section.

i'd try and get as close to the dark gunmetal the facelift inserts have, looks better me thinks.
