car camera mount

Hi folks,

I have been thinking about getting a car camera mount kit for ages and found a great one a few years ago, but never bought it.

So I'm after a camera mount kit. Looking at a suction cup based system so it can go on the side of the car or on the front/rear window. Bit of stabilisation might be nice, and only looking to spend around £40 or so.

So, whats out there that might suit? I will be mounting a small Sanyo Xacti camera to it so large load allowance is not required.

JB, the universal phone holders from halfords are great, only cost a couple of quid each, i have the same sanyo xacti as you, they clamp the camera just fine but i always put a little electrical tape round the clamp to hold it super tight.

The one I use is not £40, but it stayed on the car at over 140 leptons :D

Edit : I've just bought a few more toys for mine this years big events. I've got a proper .30x fisheye lense. When fitted, they give a proper look of speed. You also get a brilliant wide angle of the car if fitted to the rear screen.
