UK Supra Register

I was thinking of creating a UK spec register. Loads of other forums have registers for their rare cars and was thinking having one for the UK's to keep track of how many are left in the country. I know not every car will be a member on here but a good deal are.

Do you think this is a good idea? or would nobody want to add to it? What info would be good to keep on the register ?

I was thinking;

VIN Number (is this info too sensitive?)

Reg Plate

Current owner

Mileage

Colour

Date of First Registration

Transmission

Any more?

What about scrapping the first three then? just colour, date of first reg (just month and year) and transmission.? Maybe mileage?

Main thing with vin numbers is that once known a clone of a car can easily be made, police wouldn't be none the wiser even when anpr'd as it would come back as the original vehicle.

You have to remember that the list in the search will probably include old imported UK specs now too.

initially it was just for UK's but another for jspecs would be an idea

Which is why I want to start a new one also some of those cars might have been binned.

Its just a case of contacting the original creator of the link Nic supplied and asking if he wants to update it really, to do that you would pm the members on the list and wait for a reply

he just searched UK in members garages its not a register someone has created.

I've not added my car to the garage or anything other than in my signature and under my name. So that's one UK spec car that's not registered anywhere.

most of the ones on members garages haven't had activity in over a year so their supes will most likely have gone to the continent

That just makes you and me more special

Also as uk's fall into the hands of enthusiasts hopefully they will become members and eventually we will get a good list. I just think it would be interesting resource to have and a gauge of how many are still alive.

I'd be interested to know as well

I'd especially like to know how many original UK TT6s are left in the UK.

I can only open the first page on that list.

it won't, after advise it will only contain colour, date of reg (month and year only), transmission and mileage. Could possibly have your username if that wouldn't cause any problems.

There is a uk spec group you could join.
