I've had this done mate. Glass doesn't need to come out, but you do want to get the holes welded...problem one is the washer hole at the top as this is so close to the window...for this reason the glass was taken out when mine was done.

Jurgen got this done for me for £300 which included a new rear window seal (recommended).

Well I haven't had this done but my Dad got a nasty scuff on his silver shogun, and managed to get it blended for 60 quid, I thought blending silver hhhmmm might not be good but to be fair it was done v. Well no sign of where it was blended in.

I also haven't had this done... But i painted my downstairs loo from beige to White. Turned out good and got it done in a day. Didn't cost much in paint ether with it being a small room. I also didn't have to remove the window... Hth!

If you want a proper job doing then remove the glass so you can paint the whole tailgate, also fit a new window seal.

You might even find under the seal there is rust as this is one place thats prone for it on the mkiv so well worth doing the job properly.
