mellonman
Had a absolute night mare today, got in the car went asda shoping loaded up the boot full of shopping jumped in tryed to start the car and the ignition would not move passed the acc, after half hour of wiggling and calling family to come and get me so I could try the spare key, it managed to turn and off I went , got home turnt off the car and unloaded tryed the spare key still the same ,I have been out there for 4 hours now trying to get the key to turn once more so I can get the barrel out but its not having it so the car is in bits, not sure what to do now apart from getting a drill out which I don't want to do ! Has anyone got any ideas what to try or how far to drill as I see this is a common problem would a lock smith be able to do anything? Swampy442
I can't see that page on the link cos I'm not member :-( OK, basically at the end of the barrel is a little solenoid that locks the key in place, removing that removes the problem
mellonman
I removed that solinoid, just still can't turn the key to get the barrel out to even inspect it my finggers are so sore from turning that key so many times lol
