scotty71
previous owner of my car (J Spec TT BPU) tried a UK pump looking at hi previous posts and had the same issues as you. Guest gazza
sounds to me like the fuel relay needs changing to uk spec. its probly running high pressure and switching to low at 3000rpm it should be doing the opposite, so when hitting 3000rpm it kicks in high for the extra power and below its low pressure to save fuel. there is another solution, you could do what many others do and bypass the relay and run the pump at full speed to test it. all you need is a paper clip and to know what the correct terminal's in the fuel relay plug that you need to connect. currently running my mr2 turbo like this as the fuel relay packed up. johnny g
I've got a Walbro in a JSpec hanger for sale
bignum
Have you measured the voltage going to the pump, a uk pump pulls more current than a jspec or walbro if the voltage is dropping down this would cause problems.
TT Paul
seems alot of people think its elec problem... any one know what i should be changing thanks
bignum
Dont change anything just yet, check what voltage you have at the pump especially when the car cuts out.

scotty71
My thought in reading Mikey's posts are that he did the 12v mod to supply a constant feed but he never said how he resolved it. I have just PM'd him but I know he does not come on here much now
