Hay all. I was on the phone to my local motor spares place to ask if they can get me a rear brake caliper for my 1993 TT manual jap spec and they said there 2 brands for my car.

Does it matter which one it is? Are they the same? i did say to him its single piston but he said both of these brands available are single piston. One has a brand with AKE and the other is one with a symble oe something.

Any ideas people?

Thanks

Paul

The J-spec Supra was fitted with 2 brake options.

1. Smaller Brakes

Front 2pot

Rear 1pot

2. Larger Brakes

Front 4pot

Rear 2pot

If you're not sure which yours are post some pics.

i think what he means is he allready knows he has the smaller jspec brakes but he gets 2 optional "brands" when ordering the 1pod rearbrake.

Seba is right, there offereing 2 different brands of single pot piston rears. They found the parts via my Reg so they know that year is was so regarding face list and pre facelift it shouldnt be an issue but TBH with imports its never 100% correct on the system so thats why it may be giving 2 options. Thanks scooter for looking

The only pictures i have of my rear calipers is this (sadly its not to clear):

If the rears came always the same package as the front this is the front if it helps:
