On the online parts catalogue there are a few parts I have found that have double listings, like this....

47731B PISTON, REAR DISC BRAKE

47731-14120 JZA80..TWT; FR; 235/45, RR; 255/40 4 $20.19

47731-50040 JZA80 2 $25.58

any idea why the double listing with 2 different prices? I thought the TWT meant turbo and the other one was NA, but I seleceted my specific car so am unsure.

some even have triple listings...

47744C SHIM, ANTI-SQUEL, NO.1 (FOR REAR DISC BRAKE)

47744-14160 JZA80..TWT; FR; 235/45, RR; 255/40, RH 1 $4.28

47744-14180 JZA80..TWT; FR; 235/45, RR; 255/40, LH 1 $4.28

47745-24020 JZA80 2 $4.41

Also on the other parts catalogue online...

there is only one piston listed but it says you need 4 of them for the rear brakes, the picture shows Jspec brakes with one piston.

I used the site with pictures to get a part number and order from Toyota.....I hope it is for Jspec brakes otherwise I have 2 brand new UK spec pistons I don't need.

ah, brilliant. The Japanese guy who works at my Toyota place is back :D I thought he had left. He is always nice, allowed me to order new ones and pay the balance (returning the UK spec ones :D ) There is no way any of the other guys who work there would let me return things.

There is usually something in the EPC entry that allows you to identify which part you need.

For example, in the listing above, FR; 235/45, RR; 255/40 are the tyre sizes for the 17-inch wheels that are required to clear the "big" 4-piston front/2-piston rear brake calipers, so it identifies the pistons for the "UK" calipers.

47744C SHIM, ANTI-SQUEAL, NO.1 (FOR REAR DISC BRAKE)

47744-14160 JZA80..TWT; FR; 235/45, RR; 255/40, RH 1 $4.28

47744-14180 JZA80..TWT; FR; 235/45, RR; 255/40, LH 1 $4.28

47745-24020 JZA80 2 $4.41

There are three part numbers for the anti-squeal shims because the "UK" caliper shims are handed - RH and LH, while the "J-spec" shims are the same for both sides.
