I'm after one of these. Just a single one for a JSpec TT. I think a few people are.

Is it worth trying to sort out a group buy? Either from a local Mr T, Steve Manley or whoever else can supply them? Not sure what sort of interest there would be though..?

Just get a universal one, as long as it has the correct number of wires and the right fitting, thats all you need.

I have heard many a horror story about universal ones on other forums. IMO you would be better off in the long run getting a genuine one.

Know of any? Or got a link?

Don't know where all this horror story rubbish comes from, the way an NB O2 sensor works is just the same for all (discounting Titania and resistance type) if they fail all that happens is that you run rich as default and get a CEL, they are only use during closed loop non boost.

As long as it has the right number of heater wires, it fine, they are all made the same way, and you will probably find that they are also made by the major manufactures on the same production lines, just unbranded or for brand.

You will probably find several of the Toyota application ones have the same number of wires, also check the heater resistance, and the same boss fittings.

STD Denso sensor.

im also after a new one for a J spec TT

The link you give here http://www.worldcarparts.co.uk/Default.aspx?TabId=144&ProductID=1578 the part number matches the one nic give for a UK spec rear sensor, what’s the difference between the 2 if any? I’ve also seen the denso ones on eBay but not sure what model they are for

What exactly is in an o2 sensor and why can't it just be cleaned to work as god as new? I know lemon juice works a bit, so is there something that works a lot? Some other kind of acid maybe?

Oxygen sensors have a limited life of around 30K-50K miles, lemon juice can help remove carbon deposits which *may* make a short term difference, but once they have worn out then they need replacing.

I have spent hours looking for these, that Dox 0110 one on e bay is a universal one, I only found these ones

2009 Denso book, according to that the only 2 listed are.

89465-19605 = Dox-0228

89465-19595 = Dox-0227

The Dox-0110 seems to be a universal one as it says it fits a supra (nato) 3.0 and Carina e, celica, Rav 4 etc

Cheers Jellybean, but what the OP (and a few others I think) wanted to know is, do any of those sensors work in a J-Spec TT? If so which one, the front or the rear? They are pretty easy to find, I think I found them at around £35ish, but they dont have the same part number as the J-Spec TT's...
