Building a track car

I'm thinking of building a track-day car (not road registered) for circuits rather than drag-strip and would like any advice on how low can the weight of a TT go before major shell modifications start. I'm expecting to remove all trim, underseal, plastic windows apart from the screen and use lightweight doors, front wings, bonnet etc. What is a realistic minimum achievable weight?

There's a good thread here with lots of weights and real-world results: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?228993

If you're stripping the interior too, 1300kg should be possible. I think Ryan acheived 1250kg, but that involved major bodywork modification

Edit: If it's an auto it will obviosuly be +30kg or so due to the extra weight of the box and coolers.
