After killing these I decided that's enough and started to strip the engine bay down again in prep for a single build.

I wanted to tidy up the tunnel as it was nosey. (auto tunnel had to be cut out)

Back at 2 Bar for remap

image

Was mapped to 0.5 Bar made 420hp we stopped at that as one of my injectors is being lazy and not fuelling on idle so it was to risky to do a power run.

I am going to sort the injector in the week and more wiring and just general tidying up to do. before I book it in for the final remap. then it will have a full respray as i have already ordered the paint. (Candy Apple Red).

I will update as it progress's.

I had no time at the point I was doing the clutch so paid big money to get some made there and then as it was going up to Ryan the next day.

Chris I would like a new pump to go in my tank tho as iam sure I have a copy pump.

I'll take a look at your sool pot next time I see you car. May be somthing I'll fit at a later date.

Not sure if I am seeing this right, but it looks like the actual transmission tunnel has been cut out and the plate welded in along the edges, is that right?

That's not how it's supposed to be done... It's a 2nd skin that goes *under* the transmission tunnel, the old auto plate can just needs it's spot welds drilling out. I imagine it's pretty noisy.

Ouch, hope you kicked whoever did that in the nuts :D What a bunch of monkeys

It might be worth getting some heavy duty sound deadening to put on the outside of the trans tunel (i.e. where the box is). The stock tunnel has very heavy duty spray on sound deadening there, so must be done for a good reason (and there is no real trans noise from a stock manual car)

Trust me I was not happy about it.

But as you stated i have already sprayed the underside. Iam going to mat the top. It's not as bad as I make it sound, but as you said, you should not hear it at all.

I will improve it, sorting the injetor out 2day and tidying the electrics up.

Thanks fella!

Small update, did bit work on it again today.

Inlet is off, got the injector out that was playing up. Had it checked, it is foulty and is not repairable.

I will send it back as they are all new but I have also ordered a new one so that I can put it together faster.

After a call to Paul whiffin I have a new injector and fuel pump on the way.

Spent an hour or so tidying some wires up, as my elc fan relay played up on the trip upto surry, all nice soldered and tucked away now. :-)

Going to look at the wideband tomorrow.
