Newbie Supra Owners First Impressions

So after doing the customary prayer for the Supra (part of my religion), took it out for a nice drive.

Car just has Kakimoto exhaust, and intake.

First thing, the car is so solid, hard to believe how old it is. Not a squeak or rattle, no wind noise, tyre noise, nothing.. All you hear is the muffler growling away, and the suction from the intake, which I dont like one bit..

The car also rides very well, considering how low it is, need to investigate what springs and shock setup I have..

Power delivery is smooth, pulls strong to the redline...It runs crazy from in the higher gears, responsive is excellent. Floored it in first and hooked to 2nd, car did a little dance, slip control light was on after that...Need to show it some respect while I am getting used to it..

Boost gauge showed peak boost of 0.9bar, is that normal for stock? The error codes did not return, hoping it was a one time freak thing..

This is the fastest car I have driven, so this may seem odd to all you guys running big power in your Supras..

So this weekend is the big cleanup, then will post some pics..

All in all a happy new Supra owner.

I find it rides really well and on stock wheels and yellow Bilsteins it handles the crappy roads remarkably well.

I've got a whislte coming from the driver's window when going over 80 leptons but I'm guessing the seal just needs replacing.

All electrics work and it's easy enough to drive normally and quickly.

Looking forward to the pics

You might find it's just the glass that needs adjusting, it can be moved in all directions, and titled to get the best fit upto the rubber seal

Could be the stock wheels giving the nice ride..

Yeah, it is easy to drive, the clutch and gearbox are a bit on the heavy side, but I am sure I will be used to it soon... (Been driving an auto for 8 months).

Yeah, there's an uprated clutch in mine and I found it so hard to drive when I drove it home when I bought it. It's very heavy but I'm used to it now :)
