Mk3 prop & soarer R154 advice please

Hi all

Anyone know if a prop from a mk3 supra r154 would fit onto a soarer r154 gearbox?

I have a soarer r154 and having great difficulty fnding a prop so any advice to get around it would be much appreciated

As far as I'm aware you need the prop off a mkiv supra and the mkiii prop mating together. Swampy is your man for this info.

Hi Yes you can use the front section of the MK3 prop and bolt it to the rear section of the Mk4 prop. You will probably have to extend it though

But the question I'm asking is that i have a r154 from a soarer and know someone selling a prop from a mk3 supra. So will the front section of the mk3 prop fit an r154 from a soarer?

If its from the manual Mk3 turbo then yes, its intrinsically the same box, same input and output shafts, spline numbers etc only the rear casings with the shifters differ.

Excellent... Someone is offering the prop £30 delivered, I guess that's a decent price then

Reco-Prop will modify it to suitas required, and balance it, great company, excellent work.

Would they need the whole prop to balance it Chris, or just the front section thats been extended?

They'd need the whole thing to dynamically balance it properly.
