Alpine head unit

Hey guys, I know this should go in the ICE section but I am hoping it will get more attention posted here.

I am currently in the process of fitting my new Alpine IDA-x305 ( thanks Lee P ) and am wondering if anyone has any pictures of this head unit installed in their supra? I am a little unsure as to how it is meant to sit when installed correctly.

Cheers guys, Colm.

I've not fitted one of these, but generally Alpine units will sit a little proud of the surrounding dash, and you won't be able to fit the surround trim.

Isn't that the same for most units as you tend to use the supra cage rather than the one that's normally bundled with the stereo

Yeah, it's the same with alot of Japanese cars, they bolt into an existing cage so you dispose of the one that comes with the stereo. Many units sit almost flush with the dash, but Alpine ones seem to sit further out than most (except big, block, shite Sendai units :D )
