Hi folks as many of you know i have installed a 1JZ - GTE 2.5TT engine into my own mkiv.

As the non turbo engine just wasent quick enought for me :) and couldnt afford to put a 2JZ - GTE in.

Since i did this i have been buying 2.5tt soarer's just for the running gear and now i have a few complete setups ready to sell as i have just bought another 2 soarers and need the space in my garage.

So this listing is for virtually all parts needed to go TT.

IT HAS NO POWERSTEERING PUMP, BUT YOUR N/A PUMP WILL FIT.

ENGINE - TURBO'S (MINT) - LOOM - ECU - DOWN PIPE (THAT BOLTS DIRECTLY TO YOUR 2ND CAT OR DECAT) - SOARER SIDEMOUNT INTERCOOLER - ALL INTERCOOLER PIPES - DRIVERS TOWING EYE WITH BRACKET WELDED FOR COOLER.

Now i will also include info on how to get the engine running in your mkiv and also what parts you need from the 2jz engine like mounts and fuel regulator ect.

So this kit basically comes complete with virtually all parts needed to convert your N/A into a REVVY TWIN TURBO, that is capible of BPU figures 380hp easy.

Collected from my address (hoist here if needed for loading) without autobox £750 with box £800.

Is this something you intend to continue doing throughout this year? I'm putting my TT auto into storage at the end of this month when the tax expires, and will be driving my NA manual instead. The intention is to then sell the TT in the spring (better time to sell-I hope) and once that has gone i'll be very very tempted by this conversion! How much work is involved in the fitting? I'm fairly good with the spanners so would like to think I could do the work myself.

To be honest if you have a little bit of HAVE AGO its very easy as its a direct replacement and as i will supply the wiring connections to get the engine running its even simpler.

If your car is auto you will need this box, but if your manual then you will need to replace the clutch to an uprated system (not a cheap organic from ebay) i fitted a 6 paddle in mine and have been very happy with it.

You may need to use your old air inlet pipe and some of the soarer inlet pipe (mix and match) but it is very simple to install, its all about taking your time and making notes if you have a bad memory like me lol.

I would do the install but just dont have time at the moment as im trying to get my new supra ready for the Donnington trackday 5th march.

So any half decent mechanic should be able to do it? I wouldn't have a clue or the tools to do it. I use a small garage with 2 mechanics for my vans and car, they will work on the supra but have no specialised knowledge of supras, But they know what they are doing when it comes to fixing cars. I will have to ask them if they think they could fit it.

Engine had covered 122 thousand KM so not too many miles, i did to a compression test when it was warm and they were all about 169 170, turbos are fine and engine runs perfect.

I used the car it came out of and couldnt find any faults other then the rocker gaskets leaking slightly, but they are £20 from toyota.

I dont really have the time to install it, and until things sort them selve's out id rather sell it as a kit and give the info on how to get it running.

In a month or so if nobody has bought it then i will offer fitting as i need to make space for new projects.

I would charge around £650 for an install and you would have to get your car to me or i could price for collection and drop off once done.

Its an easy job to do and if you a little handy with tools you WILL NOT have a problem, all the secrets on whats what will be supplied and my contact number so you can call me if or when you get stuck on somthing.

Num im sure i have asked before but are you 100% sure the auto box will drop direct into a MKIV? I spoke to silverstone and they point blank refused to do it.

However i think they might have thought i wanted them to mate the supra auto to the 2.5 engine.

If i had a 5 speed i would have had this by now.

You should get an R154 to go with it ;)

I have spoken to them aswell. The problem for them is they couldn't get Jay VR6's conversion to work using the 1JZ loom and ecu so they had to use the 2jz ecu and loom, so the gearbox will fit fine but won't work using the 2jz electronics as it is a mechanical gearbox unlike the 2jz autobox.

James has said he will supply the wiring diagram to get the ecu and loom from the 1JZ to work.

I was hoping my local garage would carry out the conversion for me but they won't take it on.

And they call them selve's Mechanics lol, id call them all fitters they are great at changing original parts but when it comes to real Mechanical work they get very scared.

Try keron guys he might take it on as im sure he would love to know the tricks of this install, he could then do both 2JZ and 1JZ conversions.

Like i said guys its so easy its unreal BUT only because i have done all the hard work.

Do not go with 1JZ and 2JZ loom at its incorrect for the 1JZ engine.

I did speak to silverstone garage when i was doing mine to see if they could shed some light on wiring and they said - we have had 3 auto electricians working to get this running in the MKIV and they have all said its impossible, obviously it isnt as RYAN G - ME - HADES have done it.

Although this will seem like a shamelsss plug, if someone bought this and my red NA, they could get themsleves a really nice 375ish BHP car for a little over £2k. If I didnt have so many half finished projects on the go and so little time available I would buy this and stick it in mine just to make a few quid. I am seriously considering this but not sure if I will ever have the time to do it.
