What difference would HKS 256 Cams make on a BPU Supra? Anyone got them fitted?

more of both i would say, but you would need some form of ECU control to adjust the map and timings? so i dont think its just a case of banging cams in and seeing gains

No just a standard ecu, I really dont want to go down that route of mapping and whatever, i thought they were plug and play sort of thing.

I would not fit aftermarket cams myself unless i was aiming for over 500bhp, i can see you only getting losses.

im just going to stick with what bpu brings, I thought the cams might add 20 hp quite easily but i wasent 100% on what they would do.

Wouldn't do shit unless you had a first decat........lol

You're a funny guy Andy :p crack on, Its off on the 8th of Jan ;)

I fitted HKS In256/Ex264 cams when running stock J-spec turbos at BPU. It gave a noticeable increase in power when the second turbo came on line and would pull to the rev limit. I also had an eManage fitted and the car dynoed at 429fwhp.

The cams on their own will only make a small difference, you really need a standalone or piggback ECU mapped to get the best out of the longer duration cams.
