Hi Guys...Just sharing my experience.

So I see this Supra RZ at a shop in Kanagawa, about 320kms from me..I drove there yetserday to check it out, Red RZ... 1995, 85000kms, Exhaust, 17 inch Rays wheels, Veilside frt bumper..Cost was 1.06mill yen.

So I get there, at 11am, they made me wait 1 hour while the car was being driven to the shop.. Car arrived, it was filthy, they had just slapped some silicone on the tyres. The shop had told me that the car had no accidents, but the left rear panel was resprayed.. They had told me that the car was in perfect running order, the clutch was absolutely finished... It was slipping badly under boost thru all gears.

Anyway, for the price I figured it wasnt that bad so I asked them for a quote, they then slap on 214000yen extra for transport/taxes/registration.. My friend in Nagoya who has a garage checked out the costs, he said they are ridiculous. He called them and they were adimant that they will not drop the price due to the clutch or reduce any of the other costs.. In the end, I told them to keep the car.

Even in Japan used car salesman are theives... Unbelievable..

Yeah, I was shocked with the way these guys carried themselves.. The car itself was in good condition apart from those two issues, if they were flexible on the price I would have considered it..

Regarding the cost of the cars, the Japs are definitely asking high prices, I think they realised the value of the cars.. Anyways, back to the dwg board for now!
