optim8 Posted December 17, 2010 Share Posted December 17, 2010 Just a question to you guys who's supra is not your daily drive. Haven't started the car for 3 weeks now with all the crap weather. So is it better the leave the car and start it when I can next take it out, or start it up and let it run up to temp in the garage? Trying to work out what's worse for it!! It would be best to give it a run for a few miles if you can as the only thing getting warm or up to temp ticking over is the engine. I run mine for a few miles and get the box warmed up along with the diff and anything else that rotates Obviously if you have 2ft of snow letting it tickover in the garage is probably better than doing nothing, or put a trolley jack under the diff and get the rear wheels off the deck and run it up that way Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

optim8 Posted December 17, 2010 Author Share Posted December 17, 2010 Cheers for the responses. Figure I'll at least start her up, if nothing else makes a nice noise in the garage!! Not sure if anyone else gets this but I also get a lot of condensation in the engine bay etc this weather. Not a problem in it's self but does tarnish the alloy parts with a white scale (I'm guessing!!) when it drys. Any tips on this one? Maybe I'm being a bit anal here!!
