Non stock seats !

Hi All !

Bare with me with this, as i havn't any idea about the seats in the supra

I've seen a pair of reclining/tilt forward sports seats from this company and am 90% sure i'll buy them only if you can clarify they will fit my car .

can i take off the rails on my oem seats and put them on the new ones,(but they do say they come with rails on) i know the drivers side is electric and will lose that facility , but i do like these seats .

Is there anything else i should be looking out for when ordering these

( they do state brackets are available if needed to secure )

No you won't be able to fit them to the original seat base, as they are integral to the seat, however you should be able to purchase some subframes to fit.

Cheers mate, where would i get some subframes from, meaning new or second hand ?

I think most recommend Bride frames as most of the others raise the seat too high in the car.

Try newera parts for the rails, they are not cheap, over £100 each if I recall.

What seats are they?

but they are from a company called "chartoneauto" look decent for the price , there's leather and vinyl (with leather effect ) at decent prices !

The Rally style ones on their Ebay store look like Recaro speed replicas. They look nice for cheap seats. The others look awful though. You should be able to pick up some genuine second hand Recaro ones, and get them retrimmed for circa £100-200 more than that.

That may seem like alot more, but remember Recaro spend alot of time and money on R&D, and are very good seats for it. The replicas may be uncomfortable, or even casue back problems down the line.

I'd try and find some reviews on them first.

Don't cut corners buying seats. Cheap ones wear really quickly and the bolsters collapse. I have set of Recaros I got jurgen to have retrimmed and I wouldn't swap them

for any seats going. The retrim was brilliant too. Good luck in whatever you buy
