I have a import jap spec originally n/a and dont believe i have abs or the sensors needed for the rltc. Does anyone know how easy these sensors are to fit? Will after market sensors work with rltc?

I am happy soldering in the system etc and was thinking of getting someone to set the system up! Just curious of the work involved in adding the sensors.

Is there a way to check if i have abs other than racing down the rd and slamming the brakes on as the car is on axles stands and will be for some time. I also couldnt see a control box under the bonnet which the brake lines go to which also suggest i dont have abs.

At the end of the day it will be easier to fit ABS hubs and rear drive shafts unless you have good fabrication skills. If the installation is less then 100% and is unreliable you may as well not bother at all. Post a photo of your under bonnet layout and I'll tell you straight away if you have ABS. You will also have a working ABS dash light.

For sure, yes. You just need a trigger ring and a sensor on each wheel. Each sensor is then just wired back to the control unit. It's a lot of messing and expense though, usually really wayward MKIV's can be tamed with sensible sized tyres (fairly tall profile and modest width) and decent (as in quite soft but properly damped) suspension. A good LSD, which rules out the stock one, makes a big difference too. But at the end of the day the driver has this pedal..... ;)

im not to worried about having abs. Just trying to find a cheaper way than buying the rltc sensors. That why im trying to find out if i buy the sensors can i wire them straight to the rtlc unit and not have abs whatsoever. Thanks for holding them, i will let u know asap when i finish the research
