Looking to get some LED sidelights, just wondering if the standard LED 501 bulbs cause the bulb failure light to come on, if so these would be ideal...

If you have LED sidelights, please can you let me know if you've had any problems.

Cheers

They are only necessary for cars that have the lighting circuitry tied into the CAN bus (much later cars than the Supra) i use these in mt Skyline and they are pretty good

These are dear! i got 2 sets of these for around 8 squid from my local motor spares. Updated the front sidelights and the rear numberplate lights...came out a treat and look 100 times better next to the HID's, suprisingly put out quite a lot of light for what they are too! Would definately reccomend these 501's to everyone :)

Which type are they, single LED or multiple? (4, 9, 12 etc)

Mine were the 4 SMD type ones, they point forward and are in an enclosed plastic casing.

I just had a look at the ad, and to be fair the ones you posted have 8 SMD's....still a bit expensive IMO though

Like these?......

These are the ones.

I dont think the 25 SMD ones will fit they look a bit too elongated...not 100% sure on that though

For what they cost, I think I'll buy a couple of sets of these :)

Were these a straight fit matey?

I bought some rather exspensive LEDs from another place but they wouldnt fit in the bulb hilders as the body was too wide.

You just need to get w5w led replacements i.e the 501 LEDS...they should slot straight in mate...havent tried any other leds in there myself, but the 501s are a straight swap for the w5w' bulbs
