CR turbos and they will take 1.4 bar, forged pistons, balanced engine, re built head, all ARP bolts and HKS F-Con Pro management, Matt may well have got more than 480 as I spoke with him just after lunch and he said more to be found, next step is 264 cams ..........................................................and a decent gearbox.:eyebrows:

nice bud, whats the make of the Hybrids??

Cr turbos built the hybrids by reboaring and steel internals, F Con V pro, Forged engine and rebuild of cylinder head, with Wiseco Pistons,ACL Race Bearings,ARP head Bolts,ARP Rod bolts, new oil and water pump,550 injectors and FMIC plus other bits that go with the rebuild.

My understanding this may be the best figure on hybrids in the UK?

It's the best I've seen by quite a margin. Would be interesting to see what it does on SRR too though. Not because I doubt AFR's dyno one tiny bit, just that most of the other high power BPU cars have been run there so it would be easy to compare. You've also got the highest spec BPU car I think I've seen :)

Our DD has just been calibrated;) depends what mode it was dynoed in. Would be good to put it on SRR but the VXR we had at the open day made 618 on our dyno and 620 wherever it was mapped and the Escort Cosworth race car that Luke looks after made within 2hp of the figure the engine made on a Superflow engine dyno.

All said and done then the figures are pretty accurate. It would be nice to hit the magic 500 though!!!:eyebrows:

Sounds good - like I was saying, I haven't got an issue with your dyno. In fact, I believe it's the same as SRR?

A good friend of mine's RX7 was on yours the other day making around 400bhp on stock twins apparently until Jason (Super7) turned the boost down. He was most impressed :D 330lb/ft as well!

One question: why did the Escort not lose more than 2hp through the drivetrain? That's mighty efficient! Or are you saying it's reading low relative to the engine dyno? Or am I being an idiot?

The DD came back with the same FWHP within 2bhp of the superflow. It would be great if we could get it straight on SRR just so we know how the 2 compare for future willy waving competitions:innocent:

Like I always say James, the car is as fast as it is, the dyno is just for tuneing and so we know if we are improving or going backwards and how the car is running.

:D that's the thing with dynos. Unless you get properly anal an scientific about it there's never going to be a true consensus. Much better to race other people instead :)

See what you mean about the Escort now. I was being an idiot, which isn't unusual.
