Virgin Supras

I was wondering today (yes I'm bored) how many pristine non-modified Supras we have on here ie. mechanically and aesthetically as they left the factory (bar speedo conversions, the addition of a rear fog light and at a push non standard exhaust).

So lets see some pics :Pics:

My NA's standard, apart from:

Thor TSD+DSC

Rear foglights integrated into the rear cluster

Modern headunit

Better front speakers behind the standard grilles.

Twin-trumpet air horn, FIAMM I think

Dashboard switch to control aerial deployment

Replaced front seats with Supra facelift seats: the old ones were tatty

Facelift centre caps: the car had them on when I bought it

Will try to get photos up soon.

Unmolested(ish) UK Spec TT 95

Changes include exhaust, decats and some engine mods. However, engine looks mint and even has side mounted intercooler and front panel air filter. Unfortunately also has cassette player :)

Stock should be just that, nothing modified other than factory supplied options, which gives the JDM cars more latitude than the UK cars. So 4pot 2 pot brakes is not technically a mod as it was a factory option. Yellow Billies were a factory option so they are OK. Toyota only had three types of wheels 16" and two 17". White dials were never an option etc. It has to be all stock or nothing, other wise we will end up with hundreds of exceptions.

If you want to be totally anal, every JDM car is modified for UK road driving, during the import process, none of those could be considered stock! :)

Wheels and exhaust are acceptable mods I believe even to purists. So long as they are sensible (ie. no 'twin exit' exhaust systems, no cheesy chrome wheels etc.) then why not?

Fair enough, the OP wanted to hear about totally stock cars, but how many people on here are really bothered about a Supra having aftermarket wheels and exhaust?

Whenever you read about Supras in 'mainstream' motoring journalism (EVO for example), the one thing thats always mentioned is the huge tuning potential. As with any iconic car its always nice to have original examples, but sensible, tasteful mods never do any harm IMHO.

Forgetting all that, I wonder how many ultra-rich collectors (Jay Leno springs to mind) have mint original Supras in a bubble somewhere? Toyota presumably keep afew somewhere too.
