Where to get little rear numberplate hooks like this?

Wondering if there is anywhere I can get a couple of these little 'hook' type bits to secure my rear reg plate on my stock rear bumper?

These are the things I mean:-

I've been getting hassle over my rear plate for it being import size (my car is a '93 JDM) as the police have said a UK plate will fit which it only does when scratching the recess and not fully covering the bumper hole.

This is what it looks like with the UK plate:-

The plate is bent and squeezed in to fit and so it's resting on the recess, scratching it.

I figured that by adding these at the appropriate places that this will limit the size of where I can put the plate to accommodate import size only.

Any ideas welcomed! :)

(I'm not putting on the plate surrounds so that isn't an option.) :)

Blimey your police are being a bit harsh aren't they? I got stopped a few years ago for my plates but showed them the receipt from a local well known number plate manufacturer down here in Plymouth and they were happy that my plates were for an import, legal in accordance with their guidelines and did not need changing. I have not been bothered since. Have you tried talking to them down at the station?;)

I know all the rules behind it (spacing, font size, everything) and my plate met all criteria. This doesn't stop me from getting hassle though.

I used to have a regular 13x6.5 import plate before having to change to this UK 11x8.

It's not the size of the plate I'm even bothered about, because I can get a 13x8 UK one and shave it to prevent scratching. I guess it's the principle of the UK plate NOT FITTING CORRECTLY when at 8" which is their legal smallest height (when square) and the import plate being permitted as my car is an import, it fits correctly and I still get the trouble.

The industry standard size front number plate is 520 mm × 111 mm (20½" × 4⅜"). Rear plates are either the same size, or 285 mm × 203 mm or 533 mm × 152 mm. There is no specified legal size for a number plate. For example, the rear number plate of a Rover 75 is 635 mm x 175 mm. However, all number plates must adhere to British Standard BS AU 145d,[2] which must be marked on the plate, along with the name and postcode of the manufacturer and the supplier of the plates.

I know this, it's to do with MINIMUM plate size. They say that a UK plate at the smallest legal size (11x8) will fit and so fined me £30 a time for my import plate until I changed it, but it doesn't fit properly (the scratching the recess and not covering the hole).

Just found this picture of a fellow member's car:-

It has the little hooks I am meaning. Looks like the stock bumper though so surely they can be added?
